PIT CREWS IN FOR FREE, BARRIE SPEEDWAY WANTS MORE CARS!

Barrie Speedway management announced Saturday night that pit-crews will now be given free admission.  Starting next week any driver that holds a NASCAR license will not only get in for free, but will be able to bring four crew members along with them.  We have taken this step to encourage new drivers to come to Barrie Speedway, and by allowing a driver and 4 crew members in at no charge, the price of a NASCAR license is covered in one night of racing. Due to these changes it is now mandatory for all drivers to have a 2010 NASCAR license, which can easily be purchased at the pit-gate this Saturday.  Rules will be flexible to allow new cars to race at Barrie. For any questions regarding tech rules and to notify Speedway staff of the four names that will accompany each driver in to the pits for free, please e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Please note that free admission is only for regular Saturday nights, August 20th and Spetember 11th are not included.

SPECTACULAR AERIAL VIEW OF BARRIE SPEEDWAY

This absolutely stunning shot of Barrie Speedway was taken during the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series event on September 8th, 2007.

Taken at dusk, the shot shows the Canadian Series drivers being led by the pace car down the front straightaway. What really takes your breath away however is the absolute sea of cars, campers and haulers. It's amazing how far the track has come in just a few shorts years!
